Terms of Service

1. Who provides Sovrin and how this agreement works

Sovrin is a service operated by Joseph Alai, an individual proprietor in the United States ("Sovrin", "we", "us", or "our"). You can contact us at support@sovrin.co. These Terms apply to sovrin.co, the Sovrin mobile applications, and related services.

By creating an account, selecting a button that says you agree or continue, purchasing a subscription, uploading content, or otherwise using Sovrin, you agree to these Terms and the separately published Acceptable Use, Privacy, and Refund Policies incorporated by reference. Current pricing is disclosed separately before purchase. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

If you purchase through Apple or Google, their applicable store terms also govern the transaction. If store terms conflict with these Terms concerning billing administration, the store terms control for that purchase. Mandatory rights under the law where you live are not excluded.

2. Eligibility and availability

Sovrin is only for adults aged 18 or older. You must have legal capacity to enter a contract and must not be prohibited from using the service under applicable law.

• You may not use Sovrin if you are required to register as a sex offender, have been convicted of a serious offence involving violence, sexual misconduct, trafficking, exploitation, or fraud, or have previously been removed from Sovrin for safety reasons.
• You may not access, purchase, or use Sovrin from a comprehensively sanctioned or embargoed territory, or if you are a person or entity subject to sanctions or trade restrictions administered by the United States, United Kingdom, European Union, United Nations, or another authority applicable to the transaction.
• You must provide accurate age, identity, location, profile, and payment information and keep it current. One person may not maintain deceptive or impersonating accounts.
• We may use proportionate age, identity, fraud, sanctions, and safety checks and may refuse transactions or access where legally required or reasonably necessary for safety or compliance.

3. What Sovrin is—and is not

Sovrin provides software for adult social discovery, dating, communication, personal reflection, manifestation practices, and related digital features. Users decide whom to contact and whether to meet. Sovrin is not a party to interactions or relationships between users and does not conduct criminal, identity, health, employment, or financial background checks unless we expressly say otherwise.

Sovrin is not an escort service, sexual service, adult-content platform, money-transmission service, marketplace for paid companionship, or pay-per-message business. A subscription is payment to Sovrin for recurring software features and platform access—not payment to another user and not a promise that anyone will reply, meet, date, or form a relationship with you.

Manifestation, coaching-style, AI, wellbeing, and reflective content is informational and experiential. It is not medical, mental-health, legal, investment, or other professional advice, and no outcome is guaranteed. Seek qualified professional or emergency help when appropriate.

4. Your account and security

• Keep login credentials and devices secure and promptly tell us about suspected unauthorized access.
• Do not sell, transfer, share, rent, or commercially exploit an account.
• You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable care.
• Use in-app reporting and blocking tools. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services before contacting Sovrin.

5. User content and licence

You retain ownership of content you create. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to upload it and that it does not violate law, privacy, publicity, intellectual-property, or contractual rights.

You grant Sovrin a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for technical display, transmit, moderate, and display your content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and provide the service according to your visibility settings. This licence ends when the content is deleted, subject to reasonable backup, legal, safety, and other-user-copy limitations.

Private messages are intended for their participants, but we may process them using automated and human review where reasonably necessary to deliver communications, investigate reports, prevent harm or fraud, comply with law, or enforce these Terms. Do not assume another user will keep a conversation confidential.

6. Prohibited conduct and content

Sovrin prohibits human trafficking (including sexual exploitation), child sexual abuse and exploitation, sexual violence, non-consensual content, and aiding, abetting, encouraging, facilitating, or concealing abuse. Illegal acts, scams, paid sexual or romantic arrangements, and other harmful or exploitative conduct are also prohibited.

The complete, controlling conduct rules are published separately in the Acceptable Use Policy at https://sovrin.co/acceptable-use and form part of these Terms. You must review and comply with that Policy whenever you use Sovrin.

• Do not use Sovrin to harm, exploit, deceive, threaten, harass, groom, traffic, solicit, or defraud another person.
• Do not create, request, distribute, or facilitate illegal, sexually exploitative, non-consensual, or child-abuse content or activity.
• Do not help another person violate these rules or evade reporting, moderation, safety, payment-provider, or app-store controls.

We may preserve and report evidence to payment providers, app stores, designated child-safety bodies, or authorities when required or reasonably necessary to prevent harm or comply with law.

7. Moderation, reports, and enforcement

We may use automated systems, trained providers, and human review to detect and address fraud, abuse, objectionable content, and policy violations. Users can report content or profiles and block users in the app. We aim to review credible safety reports promptly, but we cannot guarantee that every user or item is reviewed before it appears.

Depending on severity, context, history, and legal requirements, we may limit distribution, remove content, warn, suspend, terminate, prevent re-registration, cancel platform-issued benefits, preserve evidence, refund where appropriate, or report conduct. We may act on serious off-platform conduct that creates a material risk to users or the service.

8. Subscriptions and payments

Free and paid features may change over time. Before purchase, the checkout or store sheet displays the product, current localized price, billing period, trial or introductory terms if any, and material recurring benefits. Taxes may apply. A paid plan provides recurring digital features for the subscription period and does not guarantee user activity, responses, compatibility, matches, dates, or outcomes.

• Web purchases are processed by Stripe and renew using the selected payment method until cancelled.
• iOS purchases are processed by Apple; Android purchases are processed by Google Play. RevenueCat helps synchronize store entitlements but is not a separate payment method.
• Cancel through the same channel used to purchase: Sovrin billing/Stripe portal for web, Apple subscription settings for iOS, or Google Play subscriptions for Android.
• Cancellation normally stops the next renewal and access continues through the paid period unless the store, applicable law, a refund, fraud, or enforcement action provides otherwise.
• Deleting the app or your Sovrin account does not automatically cancel a store subscription. Cancel the subscription with the store first.
• We do not charge users per message and do not share subscription revenue with users based on messages, dates, sexual content, or interpersonal engagement.

9. Cooling-off rights, refunds, failed payments, and changes

Refund, cancellation, cooling-off, failed-payment, and entitlement rules are published in the Refund and Cancellation Policy at https://sovrin.co/refund-policy and form part of these Terms. Nothing in these Terms or that Policy limits a remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Current public list prices and recurring plan descriptions are published at https://sovrin.co/pricing. The checkout or native store sheet remains authoritative for the transaction you authorize. Material price or plan changes apply prospectively with notice required by law and platform rules.

10. Account deletion and termination

You may delete your account from Settings → Deactivation. We may suspend or terminate access for a material or repeated breach, safety risk, fraud, legal requirement, sanctions concern, non-payment, or conduct that threatens users, providers, or the service. Where appropriate and lawful, we may provide notice and an opportunity to appeal through support.

Terms that by nature should survive—such as accrued payment obligations, content rights already granted to other users, dispute terms, disclaimers, and liability limits—continue after termination. Account deletion and data handling are explained in the Privacy Policy.

11. Sovrin intellectual property

Sovrin and its licensors own the service software, designs, brands, and provider content. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service as intended. You may not reverse engineer except where law expressly permits it, copy or resell the service, scrape data, bypass limits, or use Sovrin content or user data to train models without authorization.

12. Third-party services

The service relies on providers such as Apple, Google/Firebase, Google Play, Stripe, RevenueCat, Hetzner, Sentanyl, Agora, and cloud/AI vendors described in the Privacy Policy. Their services and independent terms may apply. We are not responsible for another user, an external website, or a third party acting outside our control, but this does not limit responsibility that law places on us.

13. Disclaimers

Use reasonable caution online and when meeting. We do not guarantee identity, intentions, statements, compatibility, availability, safety, uninterrupted operation, a match, a response, a date, a relationship, or a manifestation outcome. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not exclude warranties or duties that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, deliberate misconduct, or any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that sentence and to the extent permitted by law, Sovrin is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or purely economic losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed, or for loss caused by another user or an event outside our reasonable control. For paid service claims that may lawfully be capped, our aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of US $100 or the amount you paid Sovrin during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

15. Disputes and governing rules

Please contact support@sovrin.co first so we can try to resolve a concern. These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator and the transaction, without depriving you of mandatory protections or courts available under the law of your habitual residence. We do not require consumers to waive non-waivable rights or use a forum that applicable law makes unfair.

16. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms for legal, safety, technical, or service reasons. We will post the effective date and provide additional notice before a material change when required. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by law.
